The University was saddened to hear of the death of Harvey Cooke, former Director of Personnel at Heriot-Watt, on Tuesday 2 April after a short illness.
Harvey started at Heriot-Watt as a Staff Officer in October 1975 having previously worked with the University of Essex and Ruston Paxman Diesels Ltd.
He was promoted to Director of Personnel in October 1991, retaining this position until he took early retirement in September 2000. He was then reengaged as a personnel consultant until November 2002.
Harvey leaves behind his wife Wendy, four children and grandchildren.
His funeral will take place on Friday 12 April at 11.00 am in the Lorimer Chapel, Warriston Crematorium. Everyone will be welcome back at 570 Queensferry Road afterwards.
