Open days
Throughout the year, we arrange formal open days for prospective students and their friends and families to visit the campuses.
You'll have the opportunity to meet some of our current students and staff and hear about how exciting and rewarding the student experience is at Heriot-Watt University. You can also attend a series of presentations covering a wide range of topics relating to studying at Heriot-Watt University.

Individual visits
If you are unable to attend one of our scheduled open days then we can arrange an individual visit to the campus. These guided campus tours let you see the campus facilities and we will also endeavour to arrange a meeting with a member of staff from your chosen subject area. Contact us to arrange a visit. We can usually arrange visits two weeks in advance.
Applicant visits
When you apply to Heriot-Watt you will be invited to attend an applicant open day, where you can find out more about the course and the campus. These events run from January though to April and are by invitation only. You will receive an invitation and more information from the academic school you have applied to.
