Deadline for September 2013 intake

Please submit your application by 21st August in order to be considered for September 2013 intake.

The deadline for international students is 31st July 2013.

Heriot-Watt University Malaysia accepts applications all year round. You can download a copy of our Application Form for all programmes. You can send us your completed form by post or drop it into our Campus building in person.

Supporting documents

Please remember to include all supporting documents the application requires. This involves proof of English language proficiency and original or certified copies of academic transcripts. Please refer to the checklist on the application form for the full list of documents required for both Malaysia-based students and students from outside Malaysia who require a student visa.

Registration fee

You are required to pay a registration fee of RM 500 for each application form that you submit.

International students are required to pay a different set of fees if they require a University’s visa sponsorship. Charges for International Students are:

  • Before student visa application: International Student Charge RM 1,850* and Application Fee RM 800; PLUS Personal Bond (variable according to country of origin).
  • After student visa is granted: Registration Fee RM 500 + Annual International Student Fee RM 1,000.

* RM 850 for insurance, medical screening and student pass is refundable if the student visa application is rejected by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS)
