NICE WEB SITE

In the course of finding sites of interest for this Newsletter, we sometimes come across Web sites which we feel deserve slightly more than a passing mention. Each month we will pick out one or more such sites, and give them a short review. The sites will normally be UK based, may be small or large, and be of interest or potential interest to academics. After lengthy discussions we have decided, with incredible creativity :-), to call these: Nice Web Sites. Details of previous Nice Web Sites are available in the Nice Web Site Archive.

TheyWorkForYou.com
http://www.theyworkforyou.com/

What a great site! Its simple to use, and its easy to find useful information. There's also a lot more to this site than you might think, and its well worth further investigation. Some very clever ideas.

WorkForYou.com is run by a dozen or so volunteers who think it should be really easy for people to keep tabs on their elected MP, and comment on what goes on in Parliament.

KEEPING UP TO DATE

I gave a presentation at an AUKML (Association of UK Media Librarians) Conference in York, recently, on the subject of 'Keeping up to date with web and other online resources'. Here are various links mentioned in that presentation. These links are all good sources for keeping up to date. By the way - AUKML are a great bunch of people!
