Library workshops

Lunchtime programme - Semester 2 2009-2010

The Library offers a programme of informal, presentation-based sessions on a variety of topics for students and staff.  Our current programme is shown below and details are also available in PDF format.  If you want to read what others have said about our workshops, please see our workshops feedback page.

Staff and students can also request one-to-one help on our ask page. Teaching staff can also request Library induction sessions and course-based sessions.

Still Haven't Found What You're Looking For?

Literature Searching/Literature Review

Have you been told to find more suitable ‘academic’ material to use in your essays? Do you have to undertake a ‘literature review’? Have you tried searching for ‘good information’ online and think there must be better stuff out there, you’re just not sure how to find it?

This is a non-subject-specific session outlining general good practice in finding ‘peer-reviewed’ information on a topic. It follows a step-by-step approach covering the right words and the right resources to help you get the information you need.
