Knowledge Transfer Scotland: Policy and Practice Conference

KT Training Day 2010

This year’s KT Scotland conference was preceded by a specially arranged "KT Training Day" for early stage researchers based in Scotland.

Hosted by science writer and broadcaster, Ms Vivienne Parry (BBC Radio 4, Tomorrow's World, The Times, The Guardian), the KT Training Day was attended by about 100 PhD students and research staff who participated in a selection of introductory KT workshops in areas of Policy, Business and Outreach, all delivered by experts in these fields. The event included discussions on demonstrating research impact and liaising with the media, the opportunity to meet and network with early stage researchers from across the Scottish universities over lunch and refreshments, and a development activity — "The creative researcher" — led by the Vitae Scotland & Northern Ireland Hub.
