Libraries outwith Edinburgh
The Library participates in SCONUL Access a reciprocal service offered by over 170 Higher Education institutions in the UK and Ireland. SCONUL Access enables staff, postgraduate students, and research students to borrow material from other libraries (undergraduate students cannot borrow but may have access for reference purposes).
If you wish to visit a library outside the UK
and Ireland, you should check their website or contact them directly
to see whether you will be permitted to visit and to consult and/or
borrow items. If necessary, we can provide you with a letter of
introduction to support your request for admittance to another
library, though we cannot guarantee that this will be granted.
Contact your
Subject Librarian if you would like a letter.
