Heriot-Watt's Group Risk Office aim to provide automatic insurance cover for clinical trials work sponsored by the University or in which the University is a participating centre. A clinical trial is an investigation or series of investigations conducted on any person for a medicinal purpose. However, certain trials which require special consideration are excluded from this cover. Details of these as well as a checklist and commencement form are provided.

The attached forms should be completed and signed by all staff and students who drive private, hired and or owned/leased vehicles on University business including Sports Union activities. This includes all risk short term insurance cover on equipment/transit.

Core personal possessions insurance cover for students staying in Halls and some leased flats is arranged by the University with Endsleigh Insurance. Students may need extended cover for some items, however. To confirm your address and review your cover, visit the Endsleigh site. Contents insurance policies from Endsleigh are specifically designed to cover students personal possessions whether they are living in halls of residences, shared houses or student flats.
