Aims

To provide, maintain and develop a safe and high quality environment, in a professional, efficient and cost effective manner to enable the University to fulfil its mission.

What we do

The Estate Office's operational areas encompass an extremely wide range of activities, principally including:

• Capital Projects and Development Services – Procurement of new Buildings, Major and Minor Alterations, Extensions, Refurbishment, etc
• Central Support Services – Procurement and provision of Security, Traffic Management, Mail services, Transport Services, etc
• Cleaning Services – within Academic and Administration Buildings
• Energy and Utilities Services – Procurement and Management of Water, Gas, Electricity and Drainage services, etc
• Environmental Management Services – Environmental Management of the Estate and Provision of Waste Disposal services, etc
• Estate Management Services – Provision and management of Disaster Recover Planning, Space Audits, Leases, Rates, etc
• Landscape Maintenance Services – Procurement and provision of Landscape Management services, including snow and ice clearance
• Property Maintenance Services – Procurement and provision of maintenance services for Building Fabric, Roads, Car Parks, Engineering services, Infrastructure services, etc
• Research Park – Management of the University's Research park

• Borders Campus - Estates Services are provided locally to the University in partnership with Borders College.
• Orkney Campus - Estates Services are provided locally to the University by Orkney Council.
