Fill in the Application Form and send it to the Admissions Office of Heriot-Watt University's Dubai Campus either directly or through an authorised agent.
Please ensure that you have enclosed all the required documents (see checklist given in the Application Form) along with the form itself. Incomplete applications will result in unnecessary delays. Full details of all requirements are set out in the application form and application guidelines.
You will be informed as soon as possible and within two weeks at the most.
If you are accepted, an unconditional offer of a place of study will be made and you will be invited to accept by returning the relevant acceptance form.
In some cases an offer may be conditional. Where this is the case you will be informed of any additional requirements before an unconditional offer can be made. Please liaise closely with the admissions staff to ensure that all the conditions can be lifted as quickly as possible.
If you are based in the UAE an instalment payment plan is available allowing you to pay 10% of the annual fees at registration followed by nine equal instalments, supported by post-dated cheques. International students need to make the full annual fee payment in advance.

Yes. You will be asked to pay an administration charge of AED 300 (currency conversion available) to cover the costs of processing your application. Your application cannot be processed if you do not pay this fee.

If your cheque is not honoured, you will be liable to pay a fine of AED 500.00 in addition to any penalty charges your bank may levy.

Visa charges are beyond the control of the University and are subject to change. If visa charges are increased by the government authorities, the student will be liable to pay the outstanding amount. Once paid, visa charges are non-refundable under any circumstances.
After all the required documents are submitted, it usually takes around three to four weeks for the processing of the visa. Staff at the Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus will process the visa application and inform you on receipt of the visa. A copy of your visa will be sent to you. You should inform the University of your arrival details at least 10 days in advance. Your original visa will then be submitted in the airport where you will be arriving.

The University provides safe and comfortable student apartments, located just 15 minutes' drive from the University campus. A bus service is provided to take you to and from the campus: see separate student transport charges.

Transport to/from the University is available to students living in our student accommodation and also to students coming from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and other nearby emirates. The University has provided comfortable air-conditioned buses for this purpose. Further transport routes and rates are available.
