One of the highlights of your undergraduate programme at Heriot-Watt University’s Dubai campus is the opportunity to spend time living and studying on our home campus in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Students taking any one of our undergraduate management or engineering degrees who can demonstrate good academic performance are eligible to spend a year or more in Edinburgh. Since students in Dubai and Edinburgh are studying the same material as each other and to the same timetables, making such a transfer is relatively straightforward.
As a Heriot-Watt student you may opt to spend a year or more of your degree in Edinburgh. Accommodation is provided on campus, making your stay easier. A number of our current students are taking this option in year three – and their ‘online diaries’ will be following their progress from October 2007 onwards.
The ‘Fresh Talent Initiative’ offers graduates the opportunity to work in Scotland for up to two years following graduation.
Students studying at Heriot-Watt in Edinburgh can also opt to transfer to Dubai for a year.
For more information on this option contact the Recruitment and Admissions Office in Dubai.
Heriot-Watt University is located in Dubai Academic City, 20 minutes from Dubai city centre by car or taxi, and 30 minutes from Dubai International Airport.
