Learning & Teaching Board - Restructuring the Academic Year,
2007-2008
A series of guidelines
and toolkits have been produced to assist Schools in the process
of re-designing courses to incorporate the key requirements of Restructuring
the Academic Year (RAY). These guidance notes are provided as various,
seperate documents.
Section 1 - Curriculum Structure Guidelines
The tabular summaries, produced for ease of reference,
provide an overview of the key principles outlined in the more
comprehensive Curriculum Structure Guidelines.
The guidelines provide full details of the
core requirements of all taught courses (except EBS), in most
cases of which Schools have the flexibility to determine thei
own approaches to implementation. In addition, aspects which are
optional or for guidance are included, which Schools may wish
to consider implementing as part of the overall course re-design
for RAY.
Section 2 - Curriculum Structure Toolkits
The toolkits provide advice to Schools on
how to re-design learning, teaching and assessment approaches
to incorporate the key principles of RAY into courses.
