Getting to ESAT...
By road...
Edinburgh Surface Analysis Technology is located in room 2.32 on the second floor of the Chemistry Department at Heriot-Watt University.
The University's Riccarton campus is situated a half mile west of the A720 Edinburgh By-Pass at the Calder Junction (A71). From the Edinburgh-bound extension of the M8, turn right at the Hermiston Junction following signs for the A71 and Heriot-Watt University.
Once at the Calder Junction on the A71 travel away from the city centre for about 600 yards turning left at the approaching traffic lights. Continue along towards the University's main entrance at the Riccarton Mains Road roundabout.

By air...
Edinburgh International Airport is served by scheduled national and international flights. The airport is on the west of the city, approximately 5 miles from the campus. The journey by taxi takes about 10-15 minutes and a regular bus service links the airport and the city centre.
