If you are considering doing a course of further study, the Careers Service can help you to find out what options and funding is available. For more information:

• Research potential courses in the "Why do Postgraduate Study?" section of the Graduate Prospects website
• Check out the Heriot-Watt Postgraduate Prospectus for information on further study options.
• Attend postgraduate study talks. For details see What's On .
• Check funding information at the Careers Advisory Service.
• Collect a copy of ‘Prospects Postgrad'.
• Watch out for early closing dates! Some Postgraduate Diploma courses have closing dates as early as December.

Resources held in the Careers Information Room (SR 1.13) includes:

• a range of postgraduate study directories

• information about sources of funding

• courses and funding for study abroad

• "Prospects Postgrad" - 3 editions a year containing up-to-date information about postgraduate courses available. Copies available free from the Careers Service

University of Newcastle Careers Service - The University of Newcastle Careers site has a good funding section and links to funding sources

University of Wolverhampton - The University of Wolverhampton's Institution map includes a research-funded sites page

TARGETcourses - A site filled with useful information about postgraduate courses and the universities and departments that offer them. It also lists universities that offer bursaries, scholarships and funding opportunities, essential during a period of uncertainty over the cost of higher education, when even more graduates are considering postgraduate study.
