Heriot Watt University Annual Careers Fair
Thursday 13th October 2011
11am – 3.30pm
About the fair
The aim of this event is to make students aware of the range of graduate and work experience opportunities within a variety of organisations relevant to the academic courses offered at the university. In response to student feedback from previous events, we would like to open the fair to as many degree disciplines as possible to reach the student mix on campus. With this in mind we look to have a mix of employers who target the disciplines shown on the booking form (the booking form will be available from the end of April 2011 onwards, for a list of disciplines please contact Kristi Hayes on 0131 451 3391, or email careers@hw.ac.uk).
We believe the Fair offers a valuable opportunity to raise the profile of your organisation at Heriot-Watt University. In previous years this event has typically attracted in the region of 1500 students and they have especially welcomed the opportunity to talk to recruiters and recent graduates personally.
In addition to the main fair we will be holding a Virtual Fair which will run for 2 weeks from the 17th October - this is a great way to follow up after the 'on campus' fair and gives you the chance to promote your opportunities further. Last year's Virtual Fair received over 550 registrations. You can request a link to the demo of our virtual fair if you are interested in this service (please contact Kristi Hayes).
