Converge Challenge Kickstart Competition

This year we are launching a brand new competition alongside the Converge Challenge – The Kickstart Competition.

Who can enter?

The competition is open to all students at all Scottish Universities. We are particularly interested in hearing from those who do not meet the entry requirements (ie students in 1st to 3rd year) or people who have an idea that is still in its infancy and are keen to take it to the next level.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?

Anything at all - the sky is the limit. Your idea could be –

  • A new product (app, e-busines, gadget)
  • A novel service
  • A social enterprise
  • Anything else as long as it's original

Prizes

We have a first prize of £2,000 for the winner and two runner-up prizes of £1,500 each.

The application process

Submitting your entry for Kickstart is simple, applications are made in four easy steps.

  1. Write a proposal (maximum of 500 words).
  2. Create a short video (three minutes maximum) explaining your idea.
  3. Upload your video to YouTube (you will need to create a YouTube account to do this).
  4. Email the video and a link here
