Maps & directions
Heriot-Watt University has four campuses: three in the UK - Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, and Orkney - and one in Dubai.
You can get directions from Google Maps to any of our campuses by entering your starting point and selecting your destination below:
Find my building
"Find my building" is our detailed Google Map of the Edinburgh Campus, which will help you find your way around the buildings on campus.
Travelling to the Dubai Campus by car
Google Maps directions to the Dubai Campus are only given for public transport. If you are travelling by car instead, you can download the Dubai Campus road map and follow the directions below:
- E311: Take the Emirates Ring Road (E311) and exit onto the Al Ain Road (E66).
- E66: Continue in the direction of Al Ain until Junction 16 where you will see signs directing you to turn right onto Academic City Road (D54). (You will pass the Nad al Sheba Armed Forces Camp on your right hand side also).
- D54: Continue along Academic City Road, passing Sheikh Zayed University and The Higher College of Technology on your right. Go straight on at the first roundabout, staying on Academic City Road.
- Turn right at the second roundabout and you will see Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) on your left. Proceed to the next roundabout and do a U-turn to come back to DIAC.
- Enter the first slip road and proceed to yet another roundabout, do a U-turn and come back to the main car park.
- Heriot-Watt University is located in Block 2, near the Costa Coffee stall, beside the main car park.
