Job description
A new opportunity has been created for someone to join Heriot-Watt University and assist the Head of School of Management and Languages with a range of research projects.
The candidate will be expected to have a strong track record in using qualitative research techniques and to be active in one or more relevant professional bodies such as the Strategic Management Society, the British Academy of Management, the Academy of Management or the European Group for Organisation Studies.
We are looking for someone with a completed PhD and an emerging international research profile. The candidate will be required to work on a range of research projects and assist in the analysis of data using a range of qualitative methods. A primary objective will be to help prepare publications for submission to highly-rated journals in the management and organisation field.
Some experience of teaching is required and the role will offer ideal preparation for an academic career by creating relevant experience and outcomes in teaching, course assessment, research and administration. Support for conference attendance and professional development will be provided and there will be opportunities to collaborate with a range of visiting scholars within the School.
