Job description
The University is looking to appoint a highly motivated individual with a successful background in Environment & Energy Management and should be able to demonstrate 5 year's relevant experience at supervisory level and be able to work under their own initiative.
You should possess relevant minimum qualifications i.e. Diploma/Degree or equivalent in an appropriate Environmental and/or Energy discipline and a relevant Professional qualification and membership with an appropriate body such as the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) or equivalent.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Estates & Buildings (Fabric & Engineering Services) the post holder will primarily be concerned with the practical review, development, implementation and management of the University's Environmental & Energy Management Policies. In addition to this the post holder will be required to develop and manage various improvement works to these issues throughout the University's Estate. The post holder will play an integral part in the Estates Services' Team and contribute significantly to Estate planning strategy related to targeted environment issues and targeted energy savings.
The post holder's activities embrace the whole of the University's Estate comprising academic and related buildings area and is required to raise environmental and energy conservation awareness with staff and students.
