Director of Logistics Research Centre

Heriot-Watt University is a leading centre for research and teaching in logistics and supply chain management.  Over the past decade, the Logistics Research Centre (LRC) has undertaken a broad range of projects for public and private sector organisations, securing substantial funding from research councils and achieved high RAE ratings.   The MSc course in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is one of the leading courses of its type in Europe with over 100 students in Edinburgh and Dubai.

There is now an exciting opportunity for the Director to further develop the work of the Centre and take it to the next stage of its development. Candidates for this post should have a strong track record of research, publication and teaching, particularly at the post-graduate level.  Applicants can specialise in any aspect of logistics and supply chain management. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of obtaining external research funding and developing links with companies and/or government.
